Empowering Global Young Leaders to
Accelerate their Transformative Initiatives

Global Changemaker Fellowship is a 6-month advancement virtual program intended to interface and develop a pipeline of Social Change Leaders who are focused on handling challenges in their local communities.

Over the program, the Fellows continue implementing their initiative while participating in immersive workshops, training, and mentorship. The fellowship equips changemakers with an opportunity to get access to global knowledge, community, training, and tools to become more effective collaborators of change and grow their initiatives.

The Fellowship Year

  • A Global Cohort of Individuals working on solving the community-based challenges in their communities
  • The Fellows can continue to stay in their college/ jobs during the fellowship
  • During the training, they complete weekly assignments for 3-4 hours per assignment.
  • he fellows will be supported in their initiative by Global Experts and Mentors
  • At the end of 6 Months, they become a part of the lifelong global community

Fellowship Journey

Eligibility for the Fellowship

  • Dedicated leaders aged 13-30 Years with an entrepreneurial mindset and approach towards solving community-centric challenges
  • Demonstrate a commitment to community development in social entrepreneurship or leadership
  • Leading or an integral part of building an initiative that is along the lines of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • Willing to undergo an intensive 10 month-long personal and professional leadership development
  • Vision for transforming and scaling their initiative

Who can be a Changemaker

Changemakers are people that act responsibly and with empathy, are resourceful and innovative, work collaboratively and are true to their personal values. Being a Changemaker is about being socially innovative, exploring what you are passionate about, identifying change you would like to see and having a positive impact on others and the community around you.

What is the purpose of the fellowship?

The fellows will be working on accelerating their initiatives by identifying the user group challenges, creating sustainable solutions for business model innovation and changing lives by accelerating transformative solutions.

What is the program duration

The program is for a duration of 10 months starting from April 2021 and ending in January 2022.

How is the program executed?

The program is a combination of online training, workshops, assignments, mentorship, coaching, events and the training through the fellowship. Once the fellowship is over, the fellows will be a part of a lifelong global community.

How much time do I need to commit to the challenge

Weekly we are looking for 8-10 hours of commitment by fellows.

Are there any specific requirements to complete the fellowship?

We would require the fellows to attend the training sessions, weekly follow-up or mentorship meeting and assignments. The attendance and participation of fellow is compulsory through the program.

Do we have to pay for the fellowship?

The fellowship is free of cost.

What is the attendance policy? What if I need to miss a seminar?

The program has a 100% attendance requirement, and all selected Fellows must attend all program meetings (seminars) and complete assignments between seminars or face possible removal from the program. We make exceptions for emergencies on a case-by-case basis.

Do I need to have access to the internet to be a part of the challenge?

Yes. The primary method of communication regarding logistics and other important information is email. Assignments, training, workshops and meetings will be conducted through online platforms. Therefore, all Fellows must have regular and reliable internet access that allows the downloading and uploading of documents as well as audio and video files.

Do I need to have an organisation to apply for the fellowship?

Yes, you do need to have a working model or an organisation to apply for the fellowship. Through the application we will better understand your work and the impact you have created.

Is English proficiency a requirement?

We would require the fellows to know basic english as the program will be conducted in english.

Are there a minimum or maximum age requirements for Fellows?

Yes, we are looking for fellows aged 13-30 years from India and Globally..

Who is eligible to apply for the challenge?

You can be a student in school, college, university or also be a working professional working on an initiative to create a social change along the lines of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Am I eligible to apply

You are eligible to apply for the program if you are an entrepreneur/ founder or leading an organisation globally and between 13-30 years studying or working professionally. We are inviting participants from villages, towns and cities nationally and internationally to participate in the fellowship.

What happens after I submit my application?

Upon application submission, our selection team will carefully review submissions and participation at each stage of the process, and select candidates who will advance to the next stage. At each stage of the application process, all candidates will receive communication from our team about the progress of their application.

How many Fellows are selected each year in each region?

On average, we select 30 Fellows per year in each region- South Asia & Globally

Can I edit my application after it’s been submitted?

No, this is not possible. Make sure you double check all elements of your application before it is submitted. We cannot accept edits or changes after the fact, either through the platform or by email.

What do Fellows do after completing the program? What type of professional and personal development support does the Changemaker Fellowship Program offer?

Changemaker Fellowship is invested not only in each Fellows’ growth over the course of the year-long program, but also in their development as lifelong agents of achieving Sustainable Development Goals.

After completing the 10 Months, Fellows may receive continued mentorship and coaching. Fellowship also has a very active and growing network of social sector organizations and thought leaders across the globe. We engage all Fellows through events, newsletters and other events. In addition, after the program the Fellows become part of a community of moral leaders who are working on achieving SDGs in their region and across the world.
